The Thorne Sisters, the founders of Thorne Academy of Dance, are excited to bring their unique method of teaching to New Milford and Bantam areas. The academy has been a dream of the sisters ever since they started dancing. Together, their goal is to nurture students and make lessons fun and exciting while keeping the tradition of Irish Step Dancing alive and thriving.
Studio D, under the artistic direction of Rebecca Anderson Darling, is excited to share with you a talented, knowledgeable, and compassionate staff. We look forward to creating specific programs for each dancer’s needs. Our teaching artists are active in their fields and will guide students toward the style of dancing where they can flourish.

Big Zimmitti & the Swing Kids is an independent jazz band that was formed around 3 years ago. We have done many gigs, but this is probably one of our biggest. With most of our members going off to college, this upcoming gig will probably be our last. That being said, we are confident that we will go off with a bang! We are an energetic band that plays many songs ranging from jazz to funk and the majority of our songs are actually arranged by us! All we wish to do is have fun and hope to make good music in the process. Thank you for having us!
Mural Walk The children of Northville Elementary, Hill and Plain Elementary, and Sarah Noble Intermediate School created some very special art pieces to be part of a mural walk! Join us on July 29th at the New Milford Arts Festival to see the final creations!
